BuddyCoffee is the service you are currently using at buddycoffee.ae. We operate a digital coffee ordering, gifting, loyalty, and voucher platform in the UAE and UK.

Data we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run BuddyCoffee:

• Account information: your name and email address when you sign up by email or through Google, Facebook, or Apple sign-in.
• Order and transaction history: details of vouchers, memberships, coffee drops, and loyalty purchases you make or receive.
• Loyalty and voucher activity: stamps, redemptions, punches, and balance updates tied to your account.
• Device and usage data: basic information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location, collected through our hosting platform for performance and security.
• Push notification tokens: if you enable notifications, we store a token through OneSignal so we can send you order and service updates.

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payments are handled securely by our payment processor.

How we use your data

We use your information only to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Process orders, vouchers, loyalty redemptions, and membership activity.
• Send you transactional updates such as order confirmations and redemption notifications.
• Provide customer support when you contact us.
• Improve and secure the service.

What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only shared with the service providers that make BuddyCoffee work, such as:

• Supabase — for secure hosting, database, and authentication.
• OneSignal — for push notifications when you opt in.
• Payment processors — to handle card and checkout transactions securely.

Third-party sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive only the name and email address associated with that account. We do not receive your social media password, contacts, posts, or other profile data. You can stop using these sign-in methods at any time by contacting us.

Data retention and security

We keep your personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days unless we are required to keep it longer by law.

We use industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting, to protect your information. No online service is completely risk-free, and we continuously monitor and improve our safeguards.

Cookies and local storage

BuddyCoffee uses cookies and browser local storage only for essential purposes, such as keeping you signed in during a session and remembering your preferences. We do not use cookies for tracking advertising or building advertising profiles.

Children

BuddyCoffee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
